Northern Trust appoints former Verizon executive Rima Qureshi to its board

Northern Trust appointed Rima Qureshi, former executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Verizon Communications, to its board and the board of its principal subsidiary, The Northern Trust Company, effective October 20, 2026. Qureshi will serve on the Risk Committee and Technology and Operations Committee and will receive prorated equity awards and other compensation under the company’s non-employee director plans through the 2027 annual meeting; she also has more than 15 years of public-company board experience, including 15 years at Mastercard.
