Vertex names Jonathan Poole CFO effective January 1, 2027

Vertex Pharmaceuticals appointed Jonathan Poole, currently its Senior Vice President of Finance, as executive vice president and chief financial officer effective January 1, 2027. Charles F. Wagner Jr. will step down as CFO but remain executive vice president and chief operating officer; Poole’s new compensation includes a $750,000 base salary and a target annual bonus of 90% of base salary, along with severance and change-of-control protections.
